The Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St., wants teens to have a space they can call their own and has converted some of its public space into TeenSpace for Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 from 3-5 p.m. Youth ages 13-17 will have access to free internet service, video games, music, popular teen reads, snacks and much more at this free and open event.
The location for this month's event has been moved to the southwest corner of the Adult Services Department near the former microfilm machine area. Teens should follow the TeenSpace signs or visit the Adult Reference Desk for directions.
The first meeting of the TeenSpace Leadership group will be held on Saturday, January 26 from 2:30-3:00 p.m. TeenSpace Leadership will be responsible for planning upcoming teen events and future TeenSpace renovation plans. Teens interested in becoming members of this group are asked to contact Becky ( becky.spika@racinelibrary.info) or Nick (nick.demske@racinelibrary.info) or to call 262.6636.9245.
