The Hispanic Roundtable and the Racine Public Library invite the community to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month through a series of Monday night open mic events. Beginning Monday, Sept 15 at 6:30 p.m. poets, musicians, authors and artists from the Hispanic community will gather in the Library's "Atrium Café" to share their creative visions of Hispanic culture. These drop-in events will run weekly on Monday evenings through October 13. Participants may attend as audience or performer; all are welcome. The Library's "Atrium Café" is located at 75 Seventh St. in Racine. Artists wishing to display work are encouraged to call ahead to reserve space. Performance registration begins at 6:15 p.m. the night of the events or may be done ahead of time.
