The Hispanic Roundtable and the Racine Public Library invite the community to celebrate Hispanic heritage during an open mic event on Tuesday evening, November 3 from 6-7:30 pm. Poets, musicians, authors and artists from the Hispanic community are invited to gather at the library to share their creative visions of Hispanic culture. This year's theme is entitled Voces del Pasado y Voces del Futuro (Voices of the Past and Voices of the Future). Participants may attend as audience or performer; all are welcome. The Racine Public Library is located at 75 Seventh St. in Racine.
Performance and visual artists wishing to participate or display work are encouraged to call ahead to reserve a time slot or space. Performance registration may be done the night of the event beginning at 5:45 p.m. and is handled on a first-come/first-served basis.
