The Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St., is offering students in grades 1-6 a chance to gather after school on Tuesday nights to share their love of math. Beginning January 19 and continuing through May 25, Tuesday nights from 5:30-6:30pm will be devoted to the After School Math Club. Facilitated by Prairie school student, Sandeep Reddy, the club will provide a place for students to receive help on homework problems, learn new techniques in problem solving, get to know fun math websites, enjoy fun math activities, and share and learn from fellow math lovers.
Sandeep Reddy was regional finalist invited to participate in the 2009 NSF Math Bee Nationals in Maryland. He has achieved many math awards and accomplishments, including successfully completing every problem in an 800 page text book. Sandeep has presented two math workshops at the Racine Public Library entitled, "Learning Math the Fun Way," and "Creative Math for Grades 4-6."
