Thursday, January 28: Wandering Endorphin Brings the Artistry of Acoustics to the Library

While you may have heard great acoustic guitar, you have never heard anything like Jim Green, aka "The Wandering Endorphin." This singer/songwriter is like no other. With true genius, Green is making some of the most interesting and innovative acoustic music in the country.

The Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St., is pleased to bring this talented young musician to Racine for a one-night performance; a musical and visual treat sure to excite and thrill. The Wandering Endorphin will perform at the library on Thursday, January 28 at 6:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public; no registration is necessary.

Not bound by the usual sonic possibilities of the acoustic guitar, Green creates enchanting to percussively driven sound-scapes drawing forth percussive rhythms, harmonics, and double pull-offs with a piano-like approach. His percussive overhand attack has been described as sounding like two guitars, with a bongo and harmonica player thrown in.

This 2004 Guitar Idol Champion has been named "One of the best independent artists in the Midwest" by the Editors of Billboard Magazine. This is one performance not to be missed.
