Job Assistance Now Available at the Library

Beginning March 16 the Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St., will transform its Computer Lab into a Job Lab twice a week offering space and assistance for community members seeking employment.

The Job Lab will open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and provides a quiet space for job seekers to use the library's seven computers to work on employment-related tasks. Internet access is available.

In addition to providing work space for job seekers, the Job Lab will offer one-on-one assistance for those seeking employment. Individual help will be available on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on a first come/first served basis. Qualified volunteers will be on hand to help those seeking employment with resumes, job searches, online applications and a wide range of other employment related activities.

No registration is being taken for the Job Lab. Use of computers and personal assistance is available on a walk-in, first come/first served basis. Questions may be directed to Elizabeth Lowrey at 262.636.9248 or elizabeth.lowrey@racinelibrary.info.
