Library Updating Language Bank

The library is updating its Language Bank, a list of community residents who speak and/or read foreign languages and who are willing to assist others with brief translations. The library provides the names and phone numbers of people with interpretive skills to clients seeking this expertise. All fees for services are handled between interpreter and client.

The Racine Languages Bank presents a picture of the large number of different languages spoken by citizens of our community. Interpreters for both oral and written translation are being sought. A long or technical translation may involve a fee. If so, those arrangements are worked out between the client and the translator.

To add your name to the Language Bank, please call the library at 262-636-9217, or visit the library's website at www.racinelibrary.info and fill out the form on the "Translator Registration."
