Educational Programs at the Library

The Racine Public Library will host a program on "Birdscaping in the Midwest" on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 2:00 pm. The free program will teach participants how to increase the number and variety of birds, butterflies, bees, and bats in their yards by growing native plants offering natural habitat and a year-long smorgasbord of berries, nuts, and seeds. The program is free; registration is requested. Call 262.636.9217 or visit www.racinelibrary.info to register.

The Library will also host the teen creative writing club, "Strong Voices", on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 1:00-3:00 pm. These monthly workshops are free and open to young, passionate writers ages 13-18. The gatherings focus on the finer details of writing within different genres and formats. There is no cost for the workshops and all supplies will be provided. While registration is requested, walk-ins are welcome. To register call the library at 262.636.9245 or visit www.racinelibrary.info.
