Wednesday, May 18: Racine Public Library Program Announcements

MEDICARE AND YOU
A representative from Physicians Mutual will visit the Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St., to present an unbiased view of Medicare including changes for 2011, common misconceptions, and a general overview of how the program functions. The free presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 24 from 6:30-7:30pm. No registration is necessary. Questions may be directed to the program coordinator at 262.619.2571.

FIBER CLUB
Do you embroider, crochet, knit or create some other form of fiber art? The Racine Public Library, 75 7th St, is starting a weekly social club for all fiber crafters and you are invited to bring your projects and share your talent in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Meet new friends and share your love of fiber craft! Meets Wednesday nights beginning May 18 from 5:30-7:30pm in the Adult Services East seating area overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan. FAMILY NIGHT @ THE LIBRARY EXPLORES GARDENING
The Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St., will host its May Family Fun Night on Thursday, March 26 from 6:30-7:30pm in the Youth Services Dept. Each month the library invites families of children ages 4-10 to attend an evening of stories, activities and crafts. The events are free and open to all. Registration is recommended and may be done by calling the library at 262.619.2571 or by registering on line at www.racinelibrary.info.

This month's Family Night will explore gardening through stories and song. Participants will have an opportunity to plant their own seedling and participate in a craft.
