Barbara Joosse has been writing for children for more than thirty years. She has published forty books for children, both picture books and chapter books. Some of her works include Mama, Do You Love Me? and I Love You the Purplest. Through her writing, she aspires to celebrate the things that are the same and the things that are different between us all. Her books have been translated into twenty-eight languages.
Racine Reads: Dream Big! is inspiring more than 10,000 elementary school students (Kindergarten through 5th grade) in more than 500 public, private and parochial classrooms across Racine to read one million books in the 2011-2012 school year. Barbara Joosse's presentation is the first in a series of author presentations that will be hosted at the Golden Rondelle over the coming six months in support of the Racine Reads: Dream Big! program.
