January 5: Foreign Film Series @ JavaVino

The library offers a vast selection of the very best in foreign films. Join fellow film enthusiasts to preview some of this collection as JavaVino, 424 Main St., hosts a free screening on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 5-7 p.m. A light menu, wine and warm beverages are available for purchase. Enjoy an appetizer, glass of wine and a film and then visit Downtown Racine's finest restaurants for dinner. On January 5 the featured film will be The Man of the Year, the story of Maiquel, a man who has lost a bet and dyed his hair blond. This event triggers a head-on collision with destiny in which he goes from nobody to hero to outlaw in 24 hours. A vibrant, brazen crime saga based on the award-winning novel O Matador by Patricia Melo. Portugese with English subtitles. No registration required.
