The president of the Racine Common Council, alderman Jim Kaplan will read the popular nursery rhyme "Kittens Who Lost Their Mittens" to a group of children during a special story time at an event to bring awareness to the childhood lead poisoning problem in Racine.
The City of Racine Health Department will present the Lead Poisoning Prevention event on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10 am at the Racine Public Library. A display of 3,066 children's mittens will serve as a lead poisoning prevention awareness campaign that symbolizes the number of children who have been poisoned by lead in the city of Racine.
A great resource to find out what's happening at the Racine Public Library
